| b. Camping Tents for a canoe trip should be large enough to hold at least three persons with their personal gear and should be high enough to allow at least one person at a time to stand up inside. Obviously, they should be as light as possible and should be easy to put up with poles cut at each camp site. Those made with a sod cloth around the bottom edges and closed with a zipper will keep out mosquitoes and flies most satisfactorily. __Tents (3 - person) __Light-weight fly for cooking shelter, about 10' x 12' __Axe (s) single-bitted, 24 - 28 inch handle, medium weight ( 2-1/2 lb. head is good) with sheaths __Camp saw __Folding shovel __First aid kit __Aerosol bomb for insects __150' of 1/8-inch nylon rope in rope bag __File kit plus sharpening stone |
