3. Constructing the Provision List

After you have set up menus for the desired number of meals, then comes the job of deciding just how much of each item should appear on the provision list. Let's consider a few items:

BACON

How many persons will one pound of bacon serve? For a breakfast where it is a main item, 3 is a good estimate. So, if you have 18 persons in your group and you list bacon as a major item for 7 meals, a little arithmetic gives the answer.
