People who know Lake Kipawa don't need beacons, and even in the dark can find their way, if not they should stay in port. Lake Erie has beacons, do we want Kipawa to become like Lake Erie? I think not. A look at The Red Pine Chute area and Turtle Dam area shows what progress has done to one of the most beautiful spots in the world, slow down, leave it alone, it's fine. The only way one can see the "original" Lake Kipawa is to travel above Red Pine Chute or above North River Dam where it is relatively "unspoiled".
