I have been crossing to Bronson Island since 1957. We are among six or so families who have PERMANENT residences in the vicinity. We all know the lake very well, however there have been times when due to adverse weather conditions it has been dangerous if not impossible to navigate (even with a reliable compass) due to fog, heavy rain, yes and snow, severe wind drift which is almost impossible to compensate for.

Since this is home, a beacon is a must and I will put up on my OWN property to use in bad conditions. It will be a flasher as used on the highways. Not being Mr. Super-sailor and not having a GPS, I will use this to get home in bad conditions.
