To All Who Enjoy Lake Kipawa,

It was brought to my attention 5 days ago that there is no pumping station anymore on Lake Kipawa. There are several local houseboats, some as tourists and also a local houseboat rental agency.

As it stands now there is no facility for any of these boats to pump their holding tanks.

As all you locals and visitors know, essentially the whole lake is pure uncontaminated drinking water. This will not be the the case in a while. Think about it: where will these vessels that ply Lake Kipawa dump their feces and urine (etc) except into the lake?

Right now, I cannot give a government address to address the problem. I will work on it. The support of every person is needed. May I suggest that all of you out there who care about this lake contact Environment Canada and voice your concerns.

Please try to help. If you enjoy the area, it is within your interest to make noise.

The local people are already started on a campaign to put an end to this problem.

Please join the fight for appropriate facilities to preserve what all of us love.

Thank you.

Francis
