Sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Corbeau Lodge. I stayed there once but won't comment on the owners as they can't post much of a reply here. I doubt he could stay in business without return customers so there must be some happy fisherman out there.

I have also stayed at White Birch Lodge which was very nice but my prefered spot is Alwaki Lodge. With the new ownership it is doing fantastic. Corbeau lodge may lose some customers there.

As for the fishing hotspots, I have had weeks where we caught next to nothing and others where the fish were jumping in our boats. However, Bernard was right with the hotspots when we were at his lodge.
