Well to say the fishing was good would be not adequate, because it was great! No fish, but great all the same. I wanted to get the pictures up on my website before I posted a report. I have never seen the Lac look as beautiful. It was breath taking. For my diving friends, I am talking about Lac Kipawa in Quebec. Rod and I arrived in Canada with it snowing hard and left in blizzard conditions. At one point the weather person said the wind chill was -21 below zero C. It must have snowed five inches a day. The last day I was there I walked to the waters edge to brush my teeth and filled my cup with water to rinse. I brushed my teeth and went to rinse and my cup had crusted up with ice. Rod and I decided to leave a day early, good thing to because as we were loading the boat to leave the temperature was dropping. I was loading our bags one by one from the cabin to the boat, watching the ice form around the dock and extend farther out of the little bays. The ice was forming right before my eyes. Rod and I had a spectacular view not many non-residence get to see. These pictures do not do it justice http://home.columbus.rr.com/meddle/Thanks2002/Thankfr2002.htm as you look through these pictures you will see two guys; Rod is in the red gear and I am in the black/grey gear. I did not go swimming this year as last, Rod did however! Yikes! I waited until the hotel to take a shower. (Rod does that make this a dive report?). I had a great time and I want to thank the new owner of the Bait shop by the government docks for giving Rod and I a hand. We will definitely be seeing you this summer. I am going to be posting some video soon to my website and I will keep you updated when I do it. I hope all of my fishing and diving friends have a happy holiday and a safe new year. Ian
