I was trying to find some information addressing the accuracy of the altimeter function of a GPS unit. I did come across one article that might be useful at: http://www.avionix.com/gps-hand.html

My GPS requirements are pretty simple. I'm just happy to be able to get back to those underwater humps year after year.
