Ahh, Turtle Camp. me old stomping grounds. Leo Vaillancourt owned the camp before Don Gardner. I never stayed there when Leo Owned it, but I am sure the camp was at it's best during Leo's Stewardship. Don Gardner always had a gaggle of different wives and girl friends it seemed, but life at camp was pretty good while he was there, our children loved it in the seventies and our grandchildren in the eighties. Never could figure Mel out, he lacked that most important of personal traits, charisma. But he's gone now,R.I.P, and so is the camp as we all knew it, I know I miss it as it was a place we stayed several times a year for many years. Sad.............
