Hi Guys-- Well the ice went off the lake later than usual which would imply a late spring but the weather has been warm and there is no snow left in the bush! The lake is still several feet down right now but is rising fast, (it better I am launching my houseboats on sunday) Come fishing opener the lake level will be at its normal level. As for the spawn -- well we are supposed to have a good spell of warm weather therefore I would anticipate the water to warm quickly. The spawn should be typical. Anyway 11 days to go! Usually all the other lake further up open before Kipawa therefore I would say they are open. I hope it won't snow like last year for the opener.
