Ugh!!! Now that's what I call turning the knife! That's alright though...I'd be pumping it up like you guys are if I were only 30 or so days out.
The pike sitting back in the bays sounds awesome...I can picture it in my head. Try a light and bright "bass" jig or maribou jig right in front of their face...just dance it there for a minute or so...they'll hit it.
And you're right...the 78 days will fly by. And it'll be me at that time "twisting the knife" on the rest of you....just for fun, of course.
