Eric, You don't indicate what type 16 footer you have, could make a big difference in navagation time. Also load,i.e. two men and a boy, what size? also equipment and supplies, groceries etc? I used to go to Kipawa with my two young Grandsons, when I didn't want to haul my big old Starcraft Inboard 750 miles I took along my little 6HP Mercury and rented a 18' cedarstrip in Kipawa, with that boat, the trip to Turtle Camp, in smooth water took about an hour, Turtle Camp is about 3/4 mile past Alwalki. I will be in Kipawa June 7-14. Ask someone at camp about Sunnyside Depot, pretty good Walleye fishing there and it is close to Alwalki, for trout try the bay leading up to Turtle Chute, also close to Alwalki. Good fishing, you will love Kipawa, bet you boy won't want to go home......tight lines
