Eric, with jigs, you need just enough to get you down. Since as you may or may not know, walleyes do not bite on jigs or even the bait they inhale the bait by opening their gills wide, too big a jig will be harder to inhale. I use 1/4 ounce in several colors, pink, orange, yellow and chartreuse being the best, also a stinger hook riding 2-3 inches behind the jig will take care of some of the short "bites". If you can find some fast water, try a 1/4 ounce shyster in yellow with black dots, deadly when all the conditions are right. Since you are going to be at Alwalki, go over to the sand bank at Sunnyside in the late evening and cast into shore from about 50 feet out, some nights you can get a hit on every cast, awesome............tight lines
