1/16 oz. and 1/8 oz. are your bread and butter. 1/4 oz. and up to 3/8 oz. for windy days or deeper water should be in your jig box. Chartreuse, pink, white, and yellow are all good. Matching or a near-matching twister tail will give you the action you need.

None of that will matter unless your presentation is fine-tuned and that you can detect the slightest strike with a high-quality rod. In our experience, Kipawa walleye do not "thump" the jig...they just tap it, and you have to be on the set immediately. Good luck.
